In the Public Accounts Committee hearing last year, Jeremy Pocklington, Permanent Secretary for the MHCLG, agreed that the department needed to “improve the quality of [our] data further”.
He went on to say that “the Department itself had made efforts to secure data, including purchasing our own data, but I completely acknowledge that the NAO improved that situation with the CoStar data that they purchased.”
